The mission is to help students develop sound values and deepen their understanding of life. Through lectures of Chinese and world classics and the inheritance of past and present experiences, students are able to reach great levels of self-understanding, and to think and judge in an independent, objective and critical way. Courses also focus on strengthening communication and application to cultivate students’ literacy and mold their characters so that they can become a well-rounded individual with knowledge, literacy as well as excellent abilities.
Guided by this educational philosophy and a commitment continuous improvement, the Center promotes the teaching and study of Fundamental General Education and Liberal Arts General Education courses that complement and intertwine with each other. It also cooperates with humanities-related colleges of NCUT to promote the integration of technology with the humanities. The Center also plans to apply technology in courses, teaching materials, and teaching methods as well as process the interoperability of theory and practice, in addition to building inter-university collaboration for teaching and study. From the shallower to the deeper, from inside to outside, we work together to create our own features and achieve great levels of knowledge and cognition.
